Frequently Asked Questions
Do you repair iPad Pro laminated screens?
Yes. Laminated iPad and iPad Pro screens need careful heat separation and re-bonding. We do it on an anti-static bench.
How long does a tablet repair take?
It depends on the model and how the screen is bonded. You'll get the expected time along with your quote, before we start.
Glass or display?
Older iPads have a glass layer over a separate LCD. If the picture still looks clear and only the glass is broken, the screen underneath may be fine, and that's a cheaper repair. Newer models bond the two together, so they get replaced as one piece.
About AppleCare
AppleCare+ covers accidental screen damage, for a service fee. Apple's standard one-year warranty doesn't. Without coverage, an official screen replacement can cost close to a refurbished iPad. That's usually when people walk in here.
Android tablets
Same story as Android phones. Bonded screens need heat, fresh adhesive and clamped curing. Plan on 3 to 4 hours.
