Frequently Asked Questions
Is it the port or the cable?
The free diagnostic checks the cable and battery first. A lot of the time the port is just packed with pocket lint. If that's all it is, we clean it out and you don't pay for a new port.
Do you micro-solder ports back to the board?
Yes. Where the port is soldered to the board, we rebuild or replace it with micro-soldering on an anti-static bench.
Why charging ports fail
Mostly three things. Wear from thousands of plug-ins. A drop that bends the connector. Chargers that don't match the device. And pocket lint, packed in tight, is sometimes the whole problem.
