Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my camera blurry after a drop?
The drop either cracked the lens cover or knocked the stabilizer and autofocus out of line. We figure out whether it's the glass, the module or the sensor, and replace only the part that's broken.
Can you fix just the lens glass?
Often, yes. If only the outer cover is cracked, we replace just that. Quicker and cheaper than a whole module.
Front and rear are separate parts
Selfie camera black or showing an error, but the back camera works fine? That's the front module. Separate part, separate repair.
The two usual causes
Drops, first. The camera module is delicate, and one hit can crack the lens or knock the assembly loose. Moisture, second. Condensation forms under the glass and corrodes the connections, which is why a camera can quit weeks after the phone got damp.
Timing
We keep common modules on hand. Less common ones get ordered in, which means 24 to 72 hours. We'll tell you the wait before you leave the phone with us.
Please don't try this one at home. The camera sits deep in the frame, and it's easy to break more on the way out.
