OEM vs aftermarket phone parts: what actually matters

What the grades mean
OEM parts are built to the original manufacturer's spec. Certified Tier-1 parts come from established suppliers and are tested to a published standard. Below that, quality swings from batch to batch. That's how two shops end up quoting very different prices for what sounds like the same job.
Where you notice it
Screens: a dimmer picture, colours that look a bit cold or washed out, touch that misses fast swipes, and trouble in direct sunlight. Batteries: a cell that says it's healthy but drains fast, or gets warm while you're using it.
Independent doesn't mean lower quality
An independent shop can work to the same standard as a manufacturer service centre. What you usually save is money and waiting time. Just make sure the shop tells you which grade it's fitting, and stands behind it afterwards.
What we fit
OEM or certified Tier-1 parts. We tell you which before you agree to the work, and every repair carries a 90-day warranty on parts.
How to check a repair afterwards
Turn the brightness all the way up and compare the screen with another phone, if you have one. Look for a blue or yellow tint, uneven brightness near the edges, or touch that misses near the corners. For a battery, check that the phone gets through a normal day and doesn't run warm while charging.
Questions worth asking any shop
Which grade is going in? Is the price fixed before work starts? How long is the warranty, and what does it cover? A good shop answers all three without hesitating. Ours: OEM or certified Tier-1, a fixed quote, and 90 days on parts.
